Day 14: Lovin' Leuven

On Sunday, I hung out with my friend Jason who as I mentioned before is studying in the town of Leuven, about 15km outside of Brussels. Not being a "destination" town, I had very little expectations for Leuven, and maybe it was because of that, I was pleasantly surprised. Leuven is the consummate college town, hosting the Catholic University of Leuven and of course the Vlerick Management School - some 25,000 odd students overall in a town of 90,0000. The town itself is fairly small as to be expected, with two decently sized town squares. The Great Market Square and the Old Market Square, which has about 20 different bars and looks like it can accommodate about 5,000 drunk college kids!
