Day 13: Ghent
Having finished with his classes and exam at Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School, I met up with my friend Jason and his dad on Saturday. We spent the day in Ghent, which was once one of the largest cities in Europe. I didn't get a chance to go there myself, but I've been told that Ghent is a lot like Bruges, one of the most popular destinations in Belgium. And indeed, Ghent has maintained a lot of its charm, with multiple pedestrian-friendly town squares and more churches than you can shake a stick at. The most impressive of these is St. Bavo's Cathedral, which is the most magnificent cathedral in Belgium and probably one of the top 10 in the world.
